A message from Jim

I fell in love with Costa Rica as soon as I saw its beauty and felt its spirit. My good friend and guide,"tico" Juan Carlos, found a lot in Manuel Antonio and we soon designed and built the upper house with local workers. Peace of Paradise was born. My friend Len, a retired teacher from the U.S., helped us design and build the lower house a few years later, again with local workers and artisans. My business in the U.S. provides businesses and hospitals with software solutions to optimize their business processes. I am dedicated to education, to church and other charitable foundations, and to the welfare and safety of my community. I plan to retire soon to Costa Rica and Peace of Paradise and work first hand, with Juan Carlos and Len, to maintain our casas with local help and to use part of any proceeds to sponsor and support youth, environment, and community organizations in Manuel Antonio and nearby towns.

Below are listed reasons for living in Costa Rica. Read them over and see if you want to join us, at least for a few days, in our little part of paradise.

--Friendly people with a great sense of humor and a country populated by one of the "happiest people of the world"

--Convenient location: Travelers can be in Costa Rica from South Florida in under three hours

--An excellent quality of life. Costa Ricans have one of the highest life spans in the world

--A simple lifestyle

--Exotic plants and animals

--Much less expensive than living in most countries

--Fantastic beaches with warm water. No wet suit needed here!

--The country's sheer and varied beauty

--100's of activities to stay busy

--Excellent health care at a fraction of the price you would pay at home. Dentists are inexpensive also.
