| I moved to Costa Rica two years ago with only my bags in hand, but it didn't take long to feel at home here at Peace of Paradise. Juan Carlos, the property manager, not only has a variety of apartments that fit all budgets, he's also a caring landlord that can help you with anything from arranging your tours, personally showing you the short cut down to the beach or teaching you how to cook your first typical meal. I thought downsizing from a 3 bedroom house in the Unite States to a studio would be difficult. But, the large studios in the Bamboo house have ample space and unique design features that make it perfectly comfortable. Juan Carlos also pays attention to the details outside as well. Over the past two hears Peace of Paradise has become a little hideaway with jungle trees and flowers surrounding the property. If that isn't enough we also get weekly linen service - towels, rugs, and sheets! It's also great if you don't plan on renting or owning a vehicle. You can walk to the grocery store, bus stop, beach, neighborhood pulperia and language schools in just minutes. This is the perfect place to live for a week or a year! Great location to stores, restaurants and a good hike down to the beach, well worth it for sure. Spacious rooms, very very clean and friendly staff and a great chance to meet other travelers who are residing in the compound. We had the privilege of staying at the Bamboo House in May, 2010, which was AWESOME! Being up in the jungle - open to the birds and the breeze - was a beautiful, peaceful experience. And Juan Carlos was a truly gracious host who went out of his way to be helpful! We recommend Peace of Paradise to everyone who wants a taste of authentic Costa Rican life! (BTW, Great Website, Jim!)

I have been coming here now for 4 years and love this place like it was my own home. I love Juan Carlos for his ability to make you so comfortable and make sure everything runs smoothly.
I love the proximity to everything, the locals next door and down the street, the availability of fresh food and fruit and the ease to connect on the bus to town and the exotic walk down the hillside to the magnificent ocean vistas.
